Deliciously soft and sweet cinnamon rolls, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm.
  3. Add the warm milk and eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  8. Place them in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. For the icing, mix powdered sugar and milk together and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, best enjoyed with coffee or tea. Store leftover rolls in an airtight container.
