A classic and delicious dish featuring tender beef and vibrant broccoli coated in a flavorful sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add another tablespoon of oil, garlic, and ginger to the same pan. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add beef broth, and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice.

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain for more tenderness. For added flavor, top with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
