  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Handful of fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 onion, roughly chopped
  • Optional: 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, chopped

Instructions

  1. Gather Your Ingredients: Start by assembling all your ingredients on the countertop.
  2. Prep the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce. Whisk generously until well combined.
  3. Add Flavors: Add the brown sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, cayenne, black pepper, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Toss in the Fresh Goods: Stir in the chopped cilantro and onion.
  5. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken in a resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
