A fresh and healthy twist on a classic tuna salad, served in crisp lettuce leaves for a light and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Butter lettuce)
  • Optional: diced pickles or hard-boiled eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, diced celery, and red onion in a bowl.
  2. Mix everything together until it’s well blended. Season to perfection with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare a fresh lettuce leaf and arrange it on your plate.
  4. Fill the lettuce leaf with a generous tablespoon of your tuna mixture right in the center.
  5. Wrap the lettuce leaves around the filling to create a lovely wrap.
  6. Chill your wraps in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.

Notes

Choose fresh, crisp lettuce leaves for the best crunch. This tuna mix can also serve as a sandwich filling on bread.
