A rich and creamy traditional dessert soaked in three kinds of milk, perfect for celebrations or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the flour mixture and 1/3 cup of milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a bowl.
  7. Cool the cake for 10 minutes, then poke holes across the top.
  8. Pour the milk mixture over the cake and allow it to absorb.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then spread over the cake before serving.

Notes

For a tropical twist, consider adding coconut milk to the soaking mixture or a hint of chocolate for richer flavor.
