A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu, featuring layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, sweet cherries, and a touch of amaretto liqueur.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whip cream and sugar in a bowl until soft peaks form. Fold in the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
  2. Mix the chopped cherries with the amaretto liqueur. Let them mingle for a few moments.
  3. Prepare each ladyfinger by dipping them briefly in the cooled coffee. Layer them in a serving dish.
  4. Build half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then layer half of the cherry mixture on top.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone, and cherries.
  6. Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings if desired.
  7. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, make a day in advance. Use fresh cherries if available, but frozen can be used as a substitute. Be gentle when folding in the mascarpone.
