Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 Green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Sauté the Chicken: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken in the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Thicken the Sauce: Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Serve the teriyaki chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. Avoid overcrowding the pan for an even sear.
