A vibrant and zesty grilled chicken recipe marinated in tequila and lime, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the tequila, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  3. Heat the Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove Chicken from Marinade: Discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the Chicken: Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  6. Let It Rest: Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish & Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

Serves excellently with a side salad or grilled veggies.
