Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture by combining ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined and form into small meatballs.
  2. Sauté the Meatballs in a skillet with melted butter over medium heat until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  3. Make the Roux in the same skillet by adding flour to the drippings and whisking in beef broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Create the Creamy Sauce by stirring in sour cream and returning the meatballs to the skillet. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
