A light and fluffy cake infused with the exotic flavors of cardamom, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, ground cardamom, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
