Delicious stuffed peppers filled with a savory mixture of rice, meat, and spices, perfect for a main course or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey and onion until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper and place them upright in a baking dish.
  6. If desired, sprinkle cheese on top of the stuffed peppers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the peppers are tender.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

Customize the filling with different meats or make a vegetarian version. Serve with extra cheese or hot sauce for added flavor.
