A simple yet satisfying dessert made with fresh strawberries and a buttery cake mix, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sliced strawberries with sugar and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Spread the strawberry mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the strawberries evenly.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Pour water over the top of everything.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
