Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz shell pasta
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Boil the Shell Pasta: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and the shell pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Steak Bites: While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak cubes with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the steak bites to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine & Heat Thoroughly: Add the cooked shell pasta and steak bites to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve with Love: Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For perfectly cooked steak bites, don’t overcrowd the skillet; give them space to sear. Feel free to swap proteins or add veggies for variation.
