This Spicy Pepperoni and Ricotta Pizza combines creamy ricotta with zesty spicy pepperoni and a delightful drizzle of hot honey, capturing the essence of homemade pizza.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough
  • Spicy pepperoni slices
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Hot honey
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper.
  4. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of creamy ricotta cheese over the dough.
  6. Distribute the spicy pepperoni slices evenly on top of the ricotta.
  7. Generously sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the pizza.
  8. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle hot honey over the top.
  11. If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes for extra heat and garnish with fresh basil.
  12. Slice your pizza and serve immediately.

Notes

For left-overs, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
