Delicious and indulgent brownies coated with fluffy coconut and a rich chocolate base.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan thoroughly.
  2. Mix the unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a medium bowl until well combined.
  3. Whisk in the melted unsalted butter, followed by the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and fold carefully into the mixture.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Prepare the coconut coating by mixing the powdered sugar and sweetened coconut flakes in a shallow dish.
  8. Cut the brownies into 12 squares, roll each in the coconut mixture, and serve.

Notes

Store leftover brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for a week. Freeze individually wrapped brownies for up to two months.
