Tender and juicy pulled pork slow-cooked with a blend of spices and barbecue sauce, perfect for casual dining and family gatherings.

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Hamburger buns for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Flavor Base: Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the Pork: Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper.
  3. Add the Pork to the Slow Cooker: Place the pork on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. Coat with Barbecue Sauce: Pour barbecue sauce over the pork.
  5. Cook Low and Slow: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  6. Shred the Pork: Once cooked, shred the pork using two forks and mix it back with the juices.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve on hamburger buns with additional barbecue sauce and your favorite toppings.
