  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sub rolls or French baguette
  • Provolone cheese (optional) for topping

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add sliced onion and minced garlic over the meat.
  3. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove the roast and shred it with two forks.
  6. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the juices.
  7. Serve the beef on sub rolls or French baguette, adding provolone cheese if desired.
  8. Use the cooking juices as dipping sauce.
