  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Cooked rice or naan for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients in the Slow Cooker: In the slow cooker, combine the chicken thighs, butter, crushed tomatoes, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, and spices (garam masala, turmeric, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper).
  2. Stir and Cook: Stir everything well to combine, then cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  3. Add Cream for a Luxurious Finish: Shortly before serving, stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes on low.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve over cooked rice or alongside warm naan to soak up every last bit of that fragrant sauce.
