A classic shrimp scampi pasta recipe featuring sweet shrimp, al dente spaghetti, and a garlic-lemon sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Add the prepared shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, and let it simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
  6. Toss in the cooked spaghetti and chopped parsley; mix everything well, ensuring the pasta is coated with the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra richness, consider adding a dash of cream or spinach. Pair with a crisp green salad or garlic bread.
