A rich and buttery salted caramel sauce that’s perfect for drizzling over desserts or enjoying straight off the spoon.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it melts and becomes amber.
  2. Add the unsalted butter and stir until it melts completely.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously until combined.
  4. Stir in the sea salt to enhance the flavor.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool before using, stored in a jar if there’s leftovers.

Notes

Store any leftover salted caramel sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks. Reheat gently if it thickens.
