A delightful fish dish featuring halibut topped with a creamy garlic parmesan mixture, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces halibut fillets (1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 dash Tabasco (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s nice and hot by the time you’re ready to bake your halibut.
  2. Combine in a mixing bowl the softened butter, mayonnaise, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, chopped green onion, crushed garlic, and the optional dash of Tabasco. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice, then mix everything together until well combined and creamy.
  3. Place your halibut fillets in a baking dish. Make sure to season each side generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the creamy topping mixture evenly over each halibut fillet.
  5. Pop the dish into the preheated oven and bake for about 6 minutes, or until the halibut flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

Serve with roasted seasonal vegetables or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
