A delightful dish featuring tender halibut fillets topped with a rich, buttery mixture of Parmesan, green onions, and garlic, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces halibut fillets (1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 dash Tabasco (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine in a mixing bowl the softened butter, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, chopped green onion, crushed garlic, Tabasco (if using), salt and pepper, and lemon juice until well mixed.
  3. Place your halibut fillets in a baking dish and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the buttery topping evenly over each fillet.
  5. Bake for about 6 minutes or until the halibut flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

Choose fresh or frozen halibut, just ensure it’s properly thawed. Avoid overcooking to keep the fish tender.
