Delicious Salted Caramel Cookies with a soft, chewy interior and a sprinkle of sea salt for that perfect sweet-salty balance.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are set.
  9. Add a sprinkle of sea salt on each cookie immediately after removing it from the oven.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra treat, serve with a glass of cold milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
