Indulge in these rich and fudgy salted caramel brownies that melt in your mouth, combining the perfect blend of chocolate and gooey caramel, topped with a sprinkle of sea salt.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and stir in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl, then mix this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, drizzle with caramel sauce, and spoon the remaining batter over the top.
  6. Swirl the batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool and then sprinkle with sea salt before slicing into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
