A comforting Salisbury steak recipe with juicy beef patties smothered in rich mushroom gravy.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mushroom gravy

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
  5. Set the patties aside on a plate.
  6. Prepare the gravy by pouring mushroom gravy into the skillet.
  7. Simmer the patties in the gravy on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, draped with gravy.

Notes

Don’t overmix the patties and ensure the skillet is hot for the best browning.
