A luxurious and creamy creamed corn dish that transforms fresh corn into an indulgent delight, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh Corn, kernels removed from about 6 ears
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 tablespoons Butter, unsalted
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat in a large saucepan.
  3. Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk for about 2 minutes.
  4. Whisk in the heavy cream and milk, cooking for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  5. Stir in the fresh corn, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in cheddar and parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh corn if possible. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
