A simple and comforting lasagna packed with layers of cheesy goodness and marinara, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese (at room temperature)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the ricotta cheese and two cups of shredded mozzarella in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Layer the lasagna starting with marinara sauce, three pieces of noodles, half of the cheese mixture, and a third of the remaining sauce. Repeat the layers.
  4. Bake for about 40 minutes covered, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  5. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve with fresh basil or a side salad.

Notes

For a creamier texture, mix in a splash of heavy cream with ricotta. If desired, add sautéed vegetables for extra nutrition.
