A classic French dish featuring crispy bacon, creamy custard, and melted Swiss cheese in a flaky pie crust, perfect for any meal.

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the crumbled bacon and grated cheese in the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Allowing the quiche to cool slightly before slicing helps maintain its shape. Serve with a side salad or fresh fruit for a balanced meal.
