  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup apple cider

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops generously with salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the pork chops in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes each side.
  4. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Cook the sliced onions and apples in the same skillet until tender, about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in the apple cider and let it bubble, lifting up brown bits from the pan.
  7. Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Serve the pork chops with the apple and onion mixture on top.

Notes

Choose bone-in pork chops for added moisture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
