A delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, these stuffed peppers combine savory beef, sautéed onions, and gooey provolone cheese in a colorful presentation.

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 1 cup green bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the peppers by cutting off the tops and removing seeds and membranes.
  3. Sauté onions and diced green bell peppers in olive oil until tender.
  4. Add the thinly sliced beef, seasoning with salt and pepper, until browned.
  5. Stuff each bell pepper with the beef mixture and top with shredded provolone cheese.
  6. Bake the stuffed peppers covered with foil for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to use different colored peppers or substitute beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
