A delightful twist on traditional pecan pie, this easy dump cake combines gooey and crispy textures for a sweet and comforting dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Add the chopped pecans, mixing until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the pecan layer without stirring.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering the surface as much as possible.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  8. Cool for about 20–30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
