A delightful dessert featuring a light meringue topped with whipped cream and fresh berries.

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in the cornstarch, vinegar, and vanilla extract gently to maintain airiness.
  4. Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it with an indentation in the center.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let it cool inside.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread it over the cooled pavlova.
  7. Top with mixed berries and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  8. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

Best served immediately but can be stored for up to 24 hours at room temperature if stored properly.
