  • Zest from 2 oranges
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 package (3 oz) orange-flavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • Optional: 2-3 drops orange food coloring
  • Orange slices for garnish
  • Optional: orange zest for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pie Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Pour in the melted butter and mix well. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish and chill.
  2. Make the Zesty Filling: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Mix in fresh orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the Gelatin: Dissolve the orange-flavored gelatin in boiling water and add it to the cream mixture, mixing well.
  4. Whip the Cream: Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form, then fold it into the orange mixture.
  5. Fill and Chill: Pour the filling into the pie crust, smooth the top, and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours until set.
  6. Final Touches: Whip additional heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla, spread it on the pie, and garnish with orange slices and zest.
