  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 sleeve crushed Ritz butter crackers (about 11/4 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Kosher salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with kosher salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken in a slow cooker, pour in the chicken stock, and let it cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  3. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  4. Stir in the condensed cream of chicken soup until the shredded chicken is well-coated.
  5. Sprinkle in the dried parsley for added freshness.
  6. Fold in crushed Ritz butter crackers for crunch.
  7. Taste the mixture, adjusting seasoning as necessary.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker option. You can substitute with cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup for variations.
