Classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies that are chewy and packed with flavor, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the rolled oats and raisins gently.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They freeze well for up to three months.
