This easy no-knead bread recipe yields a crusty loaf with a soft, chewy inside, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  4. After the resting period, preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Place a Dutch oven in the oven to heat.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
  7. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven and place the dough inside.
  8. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

Store your no-knead bread at room temperature for up to three days or freeze it for longer storage.
