A rich, gooey chocolate cake topped with fluffy marshmallows and crunchy nuts, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter until it’s smoothly liquid.
  3. Stir in the sugar until well combined and the mixture looks glossy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition for an even texture.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in your choice of chopped nuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  9. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips on top.
  10. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the marshmallows are puffed and slightly golden.
  11. Let the cake cool before cutting it into squares. Serve, and enjoy!

Notes
