  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Melt the butter in a bowl.
  4. Mix the melted butter with granulated sugar until combined.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  6. Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  8. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the brownie batter.
  10. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the caramel.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Cool the brownies while preparing the chocolate topping.
  13. Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the brownies.
  14. Spread the melted chocolate over the brownies and let set.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, refrigerated for up to a week, or frozen for up to 3 months.
