A nostalgic and hearty Mediterranean twist on classic meatloaf, infused with vibrant flavors and topped with a zesty garlic herb sauce.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, ground lamb, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Add milk, mixing until everything is combined well.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Prepare the garlic herb sauce by combining olive oil, minced garlic, and herbs in a small saucepan, heat on low until fragrant.
  7. Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve with the garlic herb sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

Add sun-dried tomatoes or olives for extra flavor. For a lighter version, use turkey instead of beef and lamb.
