A rich and savory Italian dish featuring sautéed mushrooms in a luxurious Marsala wine sauce, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 pound cremini or button mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté the mushrooms until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the Marsala wine and scrape up any browned bits from the skillet.
  6. Simmer the mixture for 5–7 minutes until the sauce reduces.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, you can add a splash of cream. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan while sautéing.
