A creamy and decadent Magnolia Banana Pudding that layers rich pudding, crispy vanilla wafers, and sweet banana slices for a delightful dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla wafers
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks in a medium saucepan. Gradually add in the milk, cooking over medium heat while stirring constantly until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture gently.
  5. Layer the vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture in a trifle dish or individual cups.
  6. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For better results, refrigerate overnight. Use ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.
