Indulge in this luxurious twist on a classic comfort food with rich, creamy lobster mac and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1.5 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Begin your journey by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the elbow macaroni and cook just until al dente—about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour to form a roux, bubbling for a minute.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once your sauce has thickened, lower the heat and add shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack, stirring until melted.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and chopped lobster meat. Pour the cheese sauce over this mixture, stirring until well coated.
  6. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top for added crunch.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Once baked, allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Reheat gently when ready to serve. For added depth, try using a mix of cheeses.
