A flavorful and versatile Korean dish featuring marinated chicken in a spicy Gochujang sauce, perfect for cozy dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken pieces
  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade: In a bowl, combine Gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper to create a rich and fragrant marinade.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes or preferably overnight in the refrigerator for the best flavor.
  3. Preheat Your Grill or Oven: When you’re ready to cook, preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C) to achieve that perfect roasted finish.
  4. Prepare for Cooking: Place the marinated chicken on the grill or in a baking dish, ensuring they are spread out evenly for optimum cooking.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Grill for about 20-25 minutes or bake for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and has that lovely, golden-brown hue.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy your flavorful Korean Gochujang Chicken!
