Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook it until browned, stirring to crumble it for even cooking.
  2. Drain Excess Fat: Once the beef is nicely browned, carefully drain away any excess fat.
  3. Combine Flavors: Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger into the beef. Mix well to ensure every bit of meat is coated.
  4. Simmer for Perfection: Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. Assemble Your Bowls: Serve the Korean beef over warm rice, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For added flavor, consider serving with steamed bok choy or spicy kimchi. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
