A comforting Korean beef bowl featuring seasoned ground beef, tender broccoli, and a sweet sauce served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Toss in broccoli florets, cover, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until tender.
  5. Spoon the mixture over cooked rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

This dish keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to keep the broccoli tender.
