Deliciously versatile Kitchen Sink Cookies packed with chocolate, nuts, and surprises!

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup of your choice add-ins (coconut, dried fruit, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Creaming together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, oats, and additional add-ins.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Experiment with different nuts and add-ins for diverse flavors. Store cookies in an airtight container.
