A refreshing key lime pie with a crumbly graham cracker crust, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Create the graham cracker crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter, then press into a pie pan and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the filling by whisking egg yolks until light, then blend in sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest.
  4. Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  5. Cool the pie to room temperature after baking.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks.
  7. Garnish the cooled pie with whipped cream and lime slices.
  8. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For stronger lime flavor, add more lime zest. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
