Delicious and flavorful kafta kebabs made with spiced ground beef and fresh herbs, perfect for grilling and served with pita and hummus.

  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1.5 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Seven Spice Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread
  • 1 cup Hummus
  • 2 cups Fresh Salad (such as Tabbouleh or Fattoush)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Aromatics: Finely chop the medium yellow onion and fresh parsley using a food processor to create a fresh, flavorful mixture that will lift the taste of your kebabs.
  2. Combine the Flavor Bases: In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef with the onion-parsley mixture, salt, black pepper, seven spice blend, and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly by hand until well incorporated, ensuring all flavors meld together.
  3. Shape the Kebabs: Take handfuls of the meat mixture and mold them tightly around skewers, forming kebabs about 1 to 1.5 inches thick to maintain shape while grilling.
  4. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high temperature and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking, setting the stage for a perfect sear and flavorful char.
  5. Grill the Kebabs: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for approximately 4 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 4 minutes until the kebabs are fully cooked with a juicy interior and a golden-brown exterior.
