A Hawaiian-inspired dish with bold flavors and delightful sweetness, bringing a slice of paradise to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Create the Flavorful Marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a resealable bag and pour in the marinade. Seal the bag tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Before you start grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Prepare for Grilling: Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the Chicken: Grill the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side or until it’s fully cooked and the juices run clear.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Once grilled to perfection, garnish the chicken with freshly sliced green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For the best flavor, aim for marinating overnight. Use tongs for flipping the chicken to keep the juices locked in.
