A delightful dish that combines sweet and savory flavors, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and ground ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken thighs, skin side down, and sear until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
  5. Flip the chicken and pour the marinade over it. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Simmer the marinade in the skillet for a few more minutes for a thicker sauce.
  8. Serve the chicken drizzled with sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
